New Day, New Blog ...


So, Ive seen so many other people doing this whole blog thing ... and everything I've read has said to write down this, write down that ... So, wth, Im gonna give it a try.

Well I decided at the start of this month I was really gonna try and get some weight off. I, for whatever reason, stepped on the scales only to think they were lying to me ... stupid thing ~ lol. But after a 2nd try, I came to terms with the dang thing being right. (err) 191 is what it told me. Thats 7 lbs heavier than I was when I *attempted* to diet back in March, before my dad went in for his heart surgery. Spending everyday in the hospital for 3 weeks totally got me off track. So, Im back again. After seeing my numbers, I decided I had to do something. I at the first of the month was just basiclly trying to watch was I was eating ... no set routine ~ aside from going to the gym. I then came across the Kimkins diet and though, 'well, I could try this. Seems as tho people are having some pretty good success with it' ... after reading up on it ... I went over to the Dr Atkins webpage and did a bit of checking up on his diet ... and decided thats what I would go with. So my new WOE is a bit kimkins/dr atkins.

Since Ive started ... Ive gone down to 182.2. I personally havent seen a difference, nor noticed a difference in my clothes so Im sure its just water ... although last night at the bowling alley I did have someone say they could tell I had lost some weight. Man, I tell ya ... thats so awesome to hear!!! :)

Our cruise is coming up August 19th and I really dont want to look like a beached whale ~ lol. Im thinking I should step it up a bit on my treadmill and such (right now Im gettin in anywhere from 25-45 minutes a day on the t'mill ... and about an hr at the gym 3 times a week.) Im pretty hard on myself at times and Im totally afraid of failing at this ... talk about sending someone to the dumps ... man, that would suck!!! =[

Breakfast ~ Egg Beaters and 2 Canadian Bacon Rounds.

Lunch ~ Shrimp and small salad

Dinner ~ Large salad and 1 slice of cheese pizza (I know I know, its not on the diet ANYWHERE, but its what my dad and I always do on Tuesday nights)

Snack ~ (if any) Small bowl of low carb ice cream. (about 1/2 a cups worth)
